If you receive an email titled "WIN A HOLIDAY" DO NOT open it. Itwill erase everything on your hard drive. Forward this letter out as many people as you can. This is a new, very malicious virus andnot many people know about it.

This information was announced yesterday morning from Microsoft; please share it with everyone that might access the Internet.

Once again, pass this along to EVERYONE in our address book so that this may be stopped. Also, do not open or even look at any mail that says "RETURNED OR UNABLE TO DELIVER" This virus will attach itself to your computer components and render them useless.

Immediately delete any mail items that say this. AOL has said that this is a very dangerous virus and that there is NO remedy for it at this time. Please practice cautionary measures and forward this to all your online friends ASAP.

微軟沒事發佈病毒消息做什麼呢？微軟改做防毒軟體了？還是改做公益事業了？

多多充實一下有關於病毒的常識，光是閱讀純文字（plan text）e-mail是不可能感染病毒的，除非是你的e-mail程式有自動開啟attachment附件檔案的功能，才有可能執行到帶有病毒的檔案。

我們在平常就要養成良好的上網習慣，避免網上感染病毒，這就跟開車要繫安全帶，騎機車要戴安全帽的道理是一樣的，在日常就要培養良好的防毒觀念：

一、開啟電子郵件中的附帶檔要小心。我的建議是：沒有必要，不要開啟這些檔案，除非你信得過它，但也請先掃毒。

像是由認識朋友寄來的有趣遊戲或電子賀卡在內，因為這些檔案裡面有可能包含連寄信人不知情的病毒。

二、不要使用 email 傳遞.doc的檔案文件。因為WORD或其他Office軟體所產生的檔案都會有可能感染所謂的巨集型病毒。所以當收到WORD文件時，最好請對方改以純文字傳送。

如果有必要使用這些 Office 檔案，也請先進行掃毒。

三、當連上某篇網頁，螢幕上出現要求您下載某個程式時，請提高警覺，或放棄下載，如果你自認為信得過該網站，（像是CNN、MSNBC、PC Home....這類的大網站），那就下載。

四、如果需要由網路上下載軟體時，請到發行該軟體的官方網站（Official site）或其他具有公信力的授權站台再下載，不要在不知名的網站上下載軟體。

記住，有空，多多充實一下病毒與電腦知識總是好的。
